Hotel Plaza - Salerno

The location was perfect, close to the bus terminal and a lovely seafront promenade. The hotel had a gym and options for pool/billiards. The rooms were spacious, and the staff was super friendly. Breakfast had great variety, and we got helpful advice for exploring the local area.

The room we stayed in had noise issues since it faced the street. We had to keep the shutter closed to avoid disturbances in the evening.

Hotel Plaza is directly across from the train station in Salerno, Italy. It was quiet and very clean. They set up a nice buffet breakfast each morning and had WiFi both in the lobby and in the rooms. The room was large and most importantly in July, it had reliable air conditioning. A perfect jumping off place if you want to visit Pompeii or the Amalfi coast.

My guest room had modern conveniences, including climate control, an individual safe and a minibar. The food was fab and the bar was cosy. The location was excellent, near Ruota Panoramica di Salerno Ferris Wheel.

Couple's Ideal Stay

The breakfast was a real surprise, the coffee and local produce were standouts . Plus the warm reception and friendly staff.

It wasn't exactly cheap , but for what you get, it's acceptable.

For location, nothing beats The Plaza, 2 minutes out of the train station and you are there! Surprisingly quite (with the shutters and patio doors closed) given the location. Breakfast simple but adequate.Clean and tidy place but no personal safe in the room.

Great location, right in front of Salerno central station, on the main walking street, close to the boardwalk and the car rental offices ( good for stopover in Salerno and not too noisy). Breakfast is very basic (don't expect too much). Staff was very nice and helpful and recommended a great place for dinner. Our room was spacious and clean. It's not fancy, but great value for money.

You need to always include proper directions to the hotels, by foot, taxi, tram or bus/metro. The cost will help as well. There is a lot of value you can add to your site if you just brainstorm abit again.

Great location to explore the beautiful City Salerno and all of Amalfi, Paestrum ect..Convinient location across the trainstation and bus station.Walking easy to historic center and along the Sea in a beautiful park.

Also its location is very busy all day, at midnight until 6am all is calm and you have a good sleep.Has a dependable Wifi connection!

The good breakfast with delicious cappuccini and the convenient location made our stay enjoyable, especially being so close to transit.

We booked a big room with art painted by the owner's mother.

Staff attitude was generally indifferent to guests, bordering on unfriendly. The exception were the domestic staff. Breakfast was very limited and became very very boring.
